Although the content of the class will vary from student to student, and day to day, the scheduled class hours are 0800-1200 and 1300-1500. During these hours, you will work directly with Lorie on all aspects of language: reading, writing, listening, speaking and culture. Breaks will be given hourly. Please note, while smoking is authorized, please limit all smoking to the designated locations.

From 1500 to 1700, you will be working independently in the language lab to reinforce some aspect of the day's study. Homework will be rarely assigned, but students are expected to take some time in the evenings to reflect on their learning through journal writing and review of their portfolio. Remember this is an intensive program, so dedication to your studies is essential for success. Sleep is also critical, so you are highly encouraged to get a minimum of 8 hours sleep so that you are at your best during the study hours.

Meals will be provided at 0700-0800 for breakfast, 1200-1300 for lunch, and 1800-1900 for dinner. Since this is a home and not a restaurant, the meal times may vary slightly. Meals will consist of typical American style food, but special requests will be considered and accommodated as much as possible. You are free to try the local flavors in the nearby towns for a little variety, but please do not schedule meals in a way that will interfere with class hours. Though some flexibility is possible.
